Meet the Minister for FedNor

This year marks an important milestone for FedNor. For 25 years, FedNor has been the Government of Canada’s economic development organization responsible for providing programs and services to Northern Ontario. Since its establishment in 1987, FedNor has served as a catalyst for job creation, diversification and business growth in this great region.
As you will see from the many success stories to be published on this website, there is much to celebrate. You’ll read about innovative projects, community initiatives and business ventures that FedNor has supported throughout the years, resulting in job creation, economic growth and a better way of life for all Northerners.
